The Idea Behind the Design

Electronic club culture was never only a particular sound or style of clothing. Many of its most important spaces emerged from a desire for freedom, belonging and an alternative to existing social rules.

Dancefloors allowed people to meet across boundaries that separated or excluded them elsewhere. Queer, migrant and alternative communities in particular have played a decisive role in shaping club music and nightlife. That history should not be reduced to a fashionable party aesthetic.

UNITY represents a community that does not treat difference as a threat.

FREEDOM means being able to move, express yourself and exist openly, while respecting the freedom and boundaries of others.

EQUALITY is a reminder that a meaningful dancefloor has no need for hierarchies based on origin, gender, appearance, wealth or status.

MUSIC FIRST establishes the shared centre. Not exclusivity, self-promotion or the need to be seen, but the music and the collective experience it creates.

The shirt presents these values directly. It does not claim that every club or event automatically lives up to them. Instead, it sets a standard for what club culture should strive to be: open, respectful and focused on the people sharing the space.
